One of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, the British-Dutch Shell, today officially opened its first petrol station in Armenia. It is located on the Artashat highway in the Shengavit region of Yerevan.
Shell will import oil products to Armenia from Kazakhstan.
“This is not just a gas station, this is a new culture, as Shell will change the demand for services provided in the field of gas stations in Armenia, the quality of its products and the level of services, and we will see positive changes in the overall market,” said Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan at the opening ceremony Shell’s first filling station in Armenia.
According to him, the presence of one of the 50 largest companies in the world in Armenia can become an incentive to intensify international investment in the country.
Shell plans to open about 25 filling stations in various regions of Armenia within 5 years.
