During a meeting between Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan and Polish President Andrzej Duda, Armenia’s expectation for international partners to condemn inhumane actions and consider imposing sanctions against Azerbaijan was reiterated.
Simonyan highlighted Armenia’s appeal to the European Union for technical support through the European Peace Fund (EPF). Regrettably, the request was declined, with the EU emphasizing its role as a mediator in improving relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as citing “conflict sensitivity.”
President Duda acknowledged their attentiveness to the post-war situation and expressed a profound understanding of regional security issues. He emphasized the importance of discerning which country genuinely seeks peace and which does not.
