During the meeting, both parties expressed satisfaction with the high-level political dialogue between the two friendly and neighboring countries, based on mutual respect and the millennia-old brotherhood between the two nations. They discussed issues related to Armenian-Iranian multifaceted cooperation and exchanged ideas on implementing a comprehensive bilateral agenda and the realization of agreements reached at the high level.
The importance of implementing current and planned joint projects between the two countries in the trade, economic, energy, and transportation sectors was particularly emphasized in this context.
In addition to this, Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, stated that during his recent meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Aliyev raised the issue of the Zangezur Corridor to address the obstacles related to it. He assured that Azerbaijan will not seek to create a corridor and close communication channels between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
