A senior US general describes India as a strategic partner of the United States, emphasizing that the military ties between the two nations are robust and increasingly sophisticated.
General Charles Brown conveyed this message to members of the Senate Armed Services Committee during his confirmation hearings for the position of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
“If confirmed, my strategy will focus on further bolstering the Major Defense Partnership with India by expanding our existing bilateral military dialogues and defense industry and technology cooperation,” stated General Brown in a written response to a question.
