Azerbaijan has prohibited the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) from using the Lachin corridor for transportation. The country’s State Border Service made this announcement, accusing the ICRC of “smuggling.”
The passage through the “Lachin checkpoint” has been closed for the ICRC until the completion of the criminal investigation related to this incident, according to the service. The agency emphasized that the ICRC not only “grossly violated” Azerbaijan’s laws but also “abused the trust” placed in them by Baku as a humanitarian organization.
